Fenwick's Brown Jet

Fernwick's Brown Jet was foaled in 1963, bred by Dr.Alan R. Raun, Cumming Iowa.  His show career started in the U.S, and was sold into Canada by David LaSalle, North Scituate, Rhode Island.  Dr. W. W. Bartlett gained ownership of Brown Jet in 1970, and paired with Friend's Might McKinley, they were winners of pair and tandem classes at all levels of horse shows. Both ponies were successful individually in single harness as well.  David Smith and Gary Pottruff bought Brown Jet in in 1975, competing at shows in Ottawa, Toronto and London, as well as smaller local shows where they won many classes.  At the 1978 Royal Winter Fair, Brown Jet was the winner of the Hackney Pony Stake Class.  David and Gary continued to show the pony for a few more season, when Wayne and Pat Tucker became the new owner and had success on the fair circuit.  The Tuckers would in turn sell to Wayne Cochrane. Wayne showed Brown Jet well past the age of twenty, and he was retired from competition.
