Flamethrower

Foaled in 1978, Bartholme Super Sharp was bred by Dr. W. W. Bartlett, Brampton. His sire was Cassilis Debonaire. If his name was any indication of things to come, he lived up to all expectations. Sold to Mr and Mrs. Donald Jewell, Toronto, as a yearling, he was a promising young futurity colt. The Jewells sent him for training with Gib Marcucci who showed him early in his career. Dr. Kevin Roberts took posession next, and Dr. Alan Raun was trainer, and they renamed the pony Flamethrower. Wins at many of the greatest shows were achieved, and soon after, Mrs. Kenneth Wheeler took ownership, and with Bill Robinson showing he accumulated many more wins. As a special gift to his wife, Steve MacFarlane bought Flamethrower for Marilyn to show. The winning continued from the east to the west coast of the USA. Flamethower was World Champion Harness pony four times, as well as other championships as an open, amateur and ladies pony. When retired from competition by the MacFarlanes, he spend his days in the Kentucky Bluegrass of the Walnut Way Farm in Simpsonville, Kentucky.
